As a Planner/Purchaser at Verstegen, you'll ensure our factory can keep running smoothly. You'll be the one to ensure raw materials, ingredients, and packaging are available at the right time. Not next week, not in a month, but today and tomorrow.
You work at the intersection of planning and purchasing. With your sharp eye, sense of priority, and strict follow-through, you prevent downtime. You order, call off orders, monitor delivery times, and ensure the work inventory is correct. This is how you keep the process moving.

You'll be working in the Planning department in Rotterdam. A team where Demand, Supply, Production, and Materials Requirements (MRP) Planning collaborate closely. The department is rapidly developing and is increasingly moving towards a single, integrated approach.
You'll report to the Planning Manager and work closely with production planning and liaise daily with suppliers within the operations. Tactical purchasing creates the contractual agreements; you'll ensure they're put into practice. You'll have the freedom to organize your work effectively and efficiently, and there's always room for improvement!
You'll be responsible for the availability of our work inventory. This means ensuring that everything production needs arrives on time, from herbs and spices to ingredients and packaging materials. You'll work with Slim4 (and have experience with it) and translate production schedules into concrete orders and call-offs. You'll monitor delivery times, identify deviations, and intervene immediately if something threatens to go wrong. Downtime is not an option. This means you'll collaborate closely with various departments, including purchasing.

A doer with an overview. You know how to navigate a dynamic environment and keep a cool head when priorities shift. You understand the supply chain and the importance of timing in a production environment.
You're professional, energetic, and a solution-oriented thinker. You don't see improvements as criticism, but as opportunities.
● MBO+ or HBO work and thinking level, preferably in the direction of logistics, supply chain or purchasing.
● Several years of experience in operational purchasing, supply chain or a similar role.
● Experience with Slim4 is a strong plus.
● Accurate, stress-resistant and strong in follow-up.
● Good communication skills and comfortable switching between planning, suppliers and internal departments.
● Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
