We are looking for a QA Manager

(Fulltime 37.5 hours)

At Verstegen, food safety isn't just a paperwork issue; it's a daily reality. As a QA Manager, you'll ensure our organization meets the highest quality standards every day. You'll be more than just a guardian of laws and regulations, but above all, a driving force for improvement. Together with your team of 10 to 13 colleagues, you'll elevate the quality of our processes, products, and mindset.

Do you see it as a challenge to make complex issues transparent and to engage people in change? Then we'd love to talk further.

About the team:

You'll join the FSQ (Food Safety & Quality) team in Rotterdam. In your role, you'll directly manage a close-knit subteam (specification, VA, PQA, Risk Assessment), but you'll also collaborate daily with colleagues from production, purchasing, R&D, marketing, and sales. In short, you'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders! Together, you form the heart of quality assurance at Verstegen. The team is highly skilled, but they're looking for a coach who can provide direction, instill enthusiasm, and be confident in making decisions.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC, partly in a managerial or coordinating role.
- Experience in a production environment within the food industry, preferably in a medium to large organization (>200 FTE).
- Solid knowledge of HACCP, BRC and related systems.
- Strong in stakeholder management: you switch easily between operator, management and external parties.
- Decisive, communicative and able to inspire people.
- Living in (or willing to travel to) the Rotterdam region.
