Stewed chicken with pumpkin and rice

Preparation
Season the chicken thighs with olive oil and World Spice Blend - Jamaican Jerk. Let sit for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook the rice according to the package directions. Finely chop the garlic. Slice the tomatoes and halve the onions.
Heat the liquid margarine in a pan and sauté the garlic. Brown the chicken thighs on all sides. Add the tomato paste and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add the water, onions, and diced pumpkin. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes, covered. Add the tomato wedges and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve with boiled rice.

- 2 uien
- 2 tenen knoflook
- 1 blikje tomatenpuree à 70 g
- 300 g zilvervliesrijst of bruine rijst
- 1 à 1,5 el World Spice Blend - Jamaican Jerk
- ½ bosje verse peterselie of koriander
- 250 ml water
- 50 g vloeibare margarine
- 3 el olijfolie
