Stuffed rolls with egg and ham
Oven-baked Kaiser rolls filled with egg and ham.
Delicious Kaiser rolls filled with egg, ham, and cheese. A delicious dish for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F), using only the bottom heat of the electric oven. Cut the tops off the unbaked Kaiser rolls. Carefully hollow out the rolls, taking care not to tear them at the bottom.
In a bowl, combine the diced ham with ¾ of the grated cheese and 2 teaspoons of Provençal herbs. Fill the rolls with the mixture.
Place the filled rolls and the tops on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Carefully crack an egg into each roll. Sprinkle ¼ of the cheese and 1 teaspoon of herbes de Provence over the filled rolls.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven for about 7 to 11 minutes, until the egg is set to your liking. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
