Hamburger with cheddar cheese and onion
A traditional hamburger with cheddar cheese, pickles, and lettuce. Served on a delicious hamburger bun with tomato and caramelized onion rings.
You can do anything with a traditional hamburger. But with cheddar, pickles, and lettuce, it's perhaps even the most delicious! The creamy melted cheddar, a juicy patty, caramelized onion rings on a delicious hamburger bun. Heading to the supermarket yet?
Preparation
Slice the gherkin and tomato. Peel the onions and cut them into 5mm thick rings.
Mix the bag of Hamburger Mix with the ground beef, divide it into 4 equal balls of 125 g and gently flatten the balls to form a hamburger.
Grill the burgers for about 8 minutes, or until cooked to your liking (the cooking time for the burgers will depend on their thickness). Meanwhile, fry the onion rings in the oil in a pan (or on the BBQ) until lightly caramelized.
Cut the buns in half and grill for 5 minutes on the BBQ over indirect heat. Add the cheddar cheese to the burgers when they're about to grill for another 2 minutes so the cheese melts nicely around the burger.
Meanwhile, mix the mayonnaise and ketchup together and season with sea salt and black pepper.
Divide the sauce over the buns and top with the gherkin, hamburger, onion rings, lamb's lettuce and tomato.
Variatietip
Vervang als vegetarische optie de hamburger door aubergine. Meng dan eerst de Mix voor Hamburger met 2 el olijfolie, smeer hier de aubergine schijven van ongeveer 2cm dik mee in. Marineer de aubergine voor ongeveer 15 minuten in de koelkast, bak deze daarna op de BBQ.

- ¼ tl Zwarte peper
- 50 g veldsla
