Indian dahl with pumpkin and garam masala
A filling and nutritious dish that we prepare with red lentils, World Spice Blend - Garam Masala, pumpkin, coconut milk and even more delicious ingredients.
A dahl is a dish made with legumes cooked until soft. This Indian dahl is actually always vegetarian because it's made with legumes. A delicious and nutritious dish.
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic cloves. Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds, and cut into cubes of about 2 by 2 cm. Peel and finely chop the ginger.
Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent. Add the World Spice Blend - Garam Masala, ginger, and chopped pumpkin and cook for 2 minutes. Add the red lentils, bouillon cube, and coconut milk and simmer covered over low heat for 20 minutes. Taste the lentils to ensure they are cooked through.
Add the spinach and stir. Slice the red pepper into rings and the lime into wedges.
Prepare the Lebanese bread according to the instructions on the package in the preheated oven.
Serve the dahl with fresh coriander, lime wedges, red pepper, quark and Lebanese bread.
