An Italian lasagna with a basic Bolognese sauce consisting of vegetables, tomatoes, and ground meat. The lasagna is made extra delicious by the use of Parmesan cheese between each layer.

A well-known dish derived from Italian cuisine: lasagna bolognese. We've given the familiar filling of vegetables, tomatoes, and ground meat a twist by adding Parmesan cheese between each layer. It's a traditional treat with every bite!

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Dice the carrots, celery, and bell peppers. Finely grate the Parmesan cheese and roughly chop ¾ of the basil leaves.

Melt the butter in a pan, but don't let it brown. Add the flour, whisk well, and cook for 3 minutes until the flour is cooked through. Whisk in the milk, stirring constantly. Reduce the béchamel sauce to the consistency of yogurt, then season with black pepper and 1 teaspoon of sea salt.

Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent. Add the ground beef and brown. Add the carrots, celery, and bell peppers and cook for 5 minutes. Add the World Spice Meal - Lasagna, the remaining sea salt, and the diced tomatoes. Simmer the sauce over low heat for 15 minutes.

Spoon tomato sauce into the bottom of the baking dish and top with lasagna sheets. Pour the béchamel sauce over it, followed by the Parmesan cheese and chopped basil. Repeat this step twice.

Bake the lasagna in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and garnish with the remaining basil.
