Mini Italian sausage rolls
Delicious sausage rolls with an Italian twist.
Delicious mini Italian sausage rolls. A great snack for drinks or a party.
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Beat 1 egg in a small bowl. Chop the tomato into small, fine pieces.
Combine the ground meat in a bowl with the Ground Meat Mix. Add half the egg and the tomato and knead well. Halve the ground meat.
Roll out the puff pastry and cut it in half lengthwise. Spread half of the ground meat over half of the puff pastry, all on one side. Repeat this process. Arrange the mini mozzarella balls over the ground meat, so that each mini sausage roll has a mozzarella ball.
Fold the puff pastry side over the ground meat, creating two long rolls. Press the edges together with a fork. Cut each roll into 8 equal-sized pieces, halving each one.
Place all 16 mini sausage rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush them with the remaining beaten egg. Bake in a preheated oven for about 15 to 20 minutes.
