A traditional casserole with minced meat and green beans
A traditional casserole with ground meat and green beans. A delicious dish for a weekday.
Preparation
Peel the potatoes and cut them into equal pieces.
Place the pan with the peeled potatoes in plenty of water on the stove and cook, adding salt if necessary, for 15 to 20 minutes until done.
Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 200ºC and grease the baking dish.
Dice the (vine) tomatoes. Shell the green beans, cook in a large pot of boiling water for 4 minutes, then drain.
Heat a pan with olive oil. Add the ground beef and the bag of Ground Beef Mix – With Onions.
Brown the ground meat for 3 minutes. Add the diced tomatoes and the cooked green beans. Cook for another 2 minutes, then spread the ground meat mixture over the bottom of the greased baking dish.
Drain the potatoes, add the milk and butter and mash the potatoes into a smooth puree.
Divide the mashed potatoes over the minced meat mixture and sprinkle with the grated cheese.
Place the casserole in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until the cheese has melted and browned.
