Pasta alla puttanesca is a simple yet delicious pasta dish that always consists of tomatoes, anchovies, olives, capers, and garlic. The pasta is salty thanks to the anchovies and seasoned with fresh basil and World Spice Blend - Napoli.
Preparation
Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves. Finely chop the anchovies and red pepper. Using a vegetable peeler, shave flakes of Parmesan cheese.
Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the garlic and anchovies for 1 minute. Add the tomatoes, red pepper, 1 tablespoon of World Spice Blend - Napoli, black pepper, and sugar. Simmer for 20 minutes over low heat.
Bring water to the boil in a pan, prepare the pasta according to the instructions on the package and drain.
Add the olives and capers to the sauce. Add the pasta to the sauce and toss well.
Divide the pasta among the plates and garnish with Parmesan cheese, the remaining World Spice Blend - Napoli and the basil.
