Pita quesadilla with minced meat and avocado mousse

Grilled pita quesadilla filled with spicy ground beef and fresh red cabbage. An easy lunch dish with a Middle Eastern twist.

Preparation

Finely chop the red onion and garlic. Remove the pit from the avocado and mash it. Add ¼ of the finely chopped red onion and the juice of the lime. Mix together and set aside.

Heat the olive oil in a pan. Sauté the garlic and ¾ of the finely chopped red onion. Add the ground meat and the World Spice Blend - Garam Masala and brown the ground meat.

Meanwhile, cut the pita breads wide open. Top one side with the ground meat, red cabbage, and grated cheese. Place the other side on top.

Grill the filled pita breads on all sides in a sandwich maker or contact grill until the cheese melts. Serve the avocado mousse with the pita quesadilla.

  • 100 g gesneden rode kool
  • 1 avocado
  • ½ limoen
  • 100 g geraspte kaas
  • ½ rode ui
  • 1 teen knoflook
  • 2 el World Spice Blend - Garam Masala
  • 2 el olijfolie
