Spicy plant-based burgers with cheddar. These juicy, spicy veggie burgers offer the perfect balance of texture and flavor.

Preparation

Grate the peel of the lime (do not grate the white part, as it is bitter), halve and squeeze out the juice.

Halve the avocado, remove the peel and pit, and cut into pieces. Roughly chop the cilantro. Blend the avocado, half the cilantro, lime zest, black pepper, sea salt, and half the olive oil with an immersion blender to make a guacamole.

Thinly slice the jalapeño pepper. Prepare the Knead & Ready Plant Burger - Spicy Jalapeño according to the package directions.

Heat the remaining olive oil in a pan and cook the plant-based burgers for 6 minutes. Top the burgers with the cheddar cheese and let it melt with the lid on the pan.

Cut the hamburger buns in half. Heat a dry pan and toast the buns until golden brown.

Divide the guacamole among the hamburger buns and top with the plant burgers, jalapeño pepper, and the remaining cilantro.

Variatietip

  • 4 plakken cheddar kaas
  • 4 hamburgerbroodjes
