The most famous Surinamese dish: Roti curry with long beans. With this recipe, you can easily and quickly make your own delicious roti curry with baby potatoes and long beans. The roti paratha wrappers are fried briefly, giving them a lovely crispy texture. This creates a surprising combination with the rest of the roti curry.

Preparation

1

Remove the roti paratha wrappers from the freezer. Peel the garlic and onion. Finely chop the garlic and slice the onion into half rings. Halve the baby potatoes and rinse them under cold water.

2

Heat a pan with 1/3 of the vegetable oil and sauté the garlic and onion until translucent, about 3 minutes. Add the World Spice Meal - Roti Curry spices and baby potatoes and stir. Deglaze with the coconut milk and simmer for 10 minutes.

3

Meanwhile, heat a pan with 1/3 of the vegetable oil and fry the chicken drumsticks for 10 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through. Season with a pinch of black pepper.

4

Clean the garter. Bring a pan of water to a boil and cook the garter for 4 minutes, or until al dente.

5

Heat a pan with the remaining vegetable oil and fry the roti sheets for 2 minutes until golden brown.

6

Mix the long beans into the roti and divide among plates. Serve with the chicken drumsticks and roti wrappers.
