Beef stew with fries and a fresh salad. The classic Beef Mix is perfect for authentic stews like this one. Serve the beef stew with fries and a fresh salad. You can make the fries yourself using our suggested recipe, but you can also use frozen fries.
Preparation
Cut the beef short ribs into large pieces and rub them with the Beef Mix. Let this soak in briefly.
Heat the (sunflower) oil in a Dutch oven and brown the meat briefly on all sides over high heat. Reduce the heat and deglaze with 300 ml of water.
Simmer the meat over low heat for about 2-3 hours, covered, until tender. Add more water if necessary. Stir the meat occasionally.
In the meantime, make homemade fries with this recipe.
For the salad: Wash the lamb's lettuce and pat it dry with a tea towel or paper towel. Halve the cherry tomatoes and slice the cucumber. Make a dressing with the parsley and 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Season the salad with the dressing and season with sea salt and black pepper to taste.
Serve the stew with homemade fries and a fresh salad.
