The traditional mashed potato with carrots and onions, called hutspot! A recipe you'll remember from the old days. Delicious with smoked sausage.

Preparation

Peel the potatoes and cut them into quarters. Cut the carrots into cubes and the onions into half rings.

Fill a large pot with the potatoes, carrots, and onions. Fill it with water until the vegetables are just covered. Add salt to taste, if desired. Simmer for about 20 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.

In the meantime, prepare the smoked sausages according to the instructions on the packaging.

Drain the potatoes. Mash the potatoes, carrots, and onion coarsely or finely, as desired.

Add the milk, butter and Mix for Hutspot.

Divide the mashed potatoes and smoked sausages over the plates.

  • 50 ml melk
  • 50 g boter
