Turkish bread filled with shawarma
Turkish bread filled with shawarma and paprika from the oven.
Try this Turkish bread filled with shawarma, mushrooms, and bell pepper. It's a delicious way to start or end the weekend. You could also serve it at a birthday party.
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 200°C, as indicated on the bread packaging.
Coarsely dice the red onions and slice the mushrooms. Halve the bell peppers, remove the seeds, and cut into strips.
Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the red onions until translucent. Add the pork strips, mushrooms, and the 100% Natural Shawarma Mix. Cook the pork strips for about 5 minutes, or until golden brown. Finally, add the bell peppers and cook for another 2 minutes.
Slice the bread open horizontally and spread the shawarma mixture over it. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the mixture. Place the top of the bread on the shawarma mixture and bake the filled Turkish bread for about 10 minutes in a preheated oven.
Cut the bread into 4 or 8 wedges. Serve the filled bread with garlic sauce.
