We are looking for a
Manager, Account & Customer Support

(Full-time 37.5 hours)

At Verstegen, commerce, customers, and the supply chain converge every day. As Manager Account & Customer Support, you are precisely at that intersection. You lead a team responsible for ensuring that customer inquiries, orders, and agreements are effectively translated into our internal organization and vice versa. This is a crucial position, as any change in the chain will ultimately be felt by the customer. At the same time, there's an exciting transformation to lead. Verstegen is an organization with a long history, and many processes have evolved over the years. In the coming years, we aim to take further steps in digitalization, smarter working, and professionalizing Account & Customer Support. Therefore, we are not just looking for someone who can manage daily operations, but especially a manager who looks ahead, identifies opportunities, and brings people along in that journey. You will be responsible for an experienced team of approximately 12 colleagues and will be the connecting link between Sales, Planning, Logistics, and FSQ, among others. This requires someone who is assertive, can reconcile various interests, and maintains an overview even under pressure. If you are energized by developing people, improving processes, and building a department ready for the future, then this is an excellent next step for you.

What are you going to do?

As Manager Account & Customer Support, you are responsible for the Account & Customer Support team and the entire Order-to-Cash process. You ensure that daily operations run smoothly, but your most important task goes beyond that. Together with the team, you develop a vision for where Account & Customer Support should be in the next three to five years. How can processes be made smarter? Which activities can we digitize? How can we improve collaboration between sales and supply chain? And how do we ensure that the team continues to develop? Both the short and long term come together in this position. If our delivery performance is under pressure, you and your team ensure that customers and account managers know where they stand. At the same time, you want to avoid only dealing with the immediate challenges of today. You are given the space to build on how we can organize things better tomorrow. A selection of your tasks:

What do you bring to the table?

For this position, we are not looking for one specific career path or educational background. Much more important is your understanding of how commerce, customer, and supply chain influence each other. You have been on both sides of that playing field in your career and know what happens when commercial desires and operational capabilities don't align naturally.

Moreover, you are someone who is resilient enough to lead an experienced team. You don't need to have managed a team of similar size for many years, but natural leadership is clearly visible in you! You dare to make decisions, address people when necessary, and remain calm when the pressure mounts.

We believe it is important that you:
● Have experience at the intersection of commerce, customer support, and/or supply chain.
● Understand the Order-to-Cash process and can look at the entire customer process across departments.
● Have demonstrable experience in managing and developing people and have shown that you can provide direction, make decisions, and realize change in a complex environment.
● Are driven to improve processes and organizations and see opportunities for improvement and digitalization.
● Can bring together different and sometimes conflicting interests.
● Communicate easily with both employees and account managers, operational colleagues, and management.
● Are analytical and decisive and maintain an overview when pressure increases.
● Are assertive and at the same time know how to engage people in changes.
● Experience within food or FMCG is welcome, but certainly not a requirement.

Working four days a week on-site is important, especially in the initial period. The team needs a manager who is visible and approachable and gets to know the organization well. In return, we offer flexibility regarding working hours.

This means you'll have the freedom to propose new ideas and actually put them into motion. We're looking for someone who doesn't just see why something is difficult, but actively explores how it *can* be done.

Here's what you can expect:
● A salary between € 5,447 and € 7,273 gross per month, depending on knowledge and experience.
● 8.33% holiday pay and an end-of-year bonus of € 900.
