The poké bowl originates from Hawaii and has been popular in the Netherlands for a while now. This vegetarian version features marinated tofu and a delicious seaweed salad. The Poké Bowl blend makes this veggie poké bowl the perfect addition.
Preparation
Prepare the sushi rice according to the package directions. Sprinkle the rice with the rice vinegar and let it cool.
Drain the tofu and pat it dry with a paper towel. Cut the tofu into 1 cm by 1 cm cubes. Mix the ginger syrup, soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of World Spice Meal - Poké Bowl to form a marinade. Add the tofu to the marinade and let it sit for 15 minutes. Heat the oil in a pan and brown the tofu on all sides over medium heat for 10 minutes.
In the meantime, slice the cucumbers, cut the carrots into ribbons with a vegetable peeler and cut the garden cress.
Divide the rice among the bowls, followed by the tofu, cucumber, carrot ribbons, and seaweed salad. Garnish with the wasabi mayonnaise, garden cress, and the remaining World Spice Meal - Poké Bowl.
