Vegetarian tempeh satay with satay sauce
Tempeh satay with satay sauce for a cozy gourmet evening.
This vegetarian satay is ideal for a gourmet meal if you don't eat meat. The tempeh also has a satay flavor thanks to the marinade. Delicious served with Verstegen's satay sauce.
Preparation
Cut the tempeh into cubes and place them in a container that you can close.
Combine the Satay Mix with the soy sauce and pour over the tempeh. Cover the container and shake vigorously to distribute the marinade evenly over all the tempeh cubes.
Let the tempeh marinate in the refrigerator for an hour. Meanwhile, soak some skewers in water.
Thread the marinated tempeh cubes onto the skewers.
Heat the ready-made satay sauce according to the package directions. Keep it warm, for example, on a gourmet grill.
Grill the tempeh satay on the gourmet or teppanyaki plate until crispy and cooked through on all sides.
Serve the satay with a dollop of satay sauce.
