Homemade schnitzel with cauliflower
Easy homemade schnitzel with spiced cauliflower.
An easy meal with a homemade schnitzel, spiced cauliflower and peppers and baked potatoes.
Preparation
Cut the cauliflower into florets, the bell pepper into cubes and the lemon into wedges.
Beat the egg in a small bowl. Place the breadcrumbs in another bowl and season with black pepper and/or sea salt, if desired. Dip the pork schnitzel first in the egg and then in the panko.
Heat 50 g butter in a frying pan and fry the pork schnitzel slowly over low heat for about 8 to 10 minutes until cooked through.
Meanwhile, cook or steam the cauliflower and bell pepper until tender or cooked through, as desired. Drain, add the Vegetable Finish - Cauliflower, and toss with a dash of oil or a knob of butter, if desired.
Meanwhile, heat a frying pan and fry the pre-cooked potato wedges in 25g of butter until browned and cooked through. Season with black pepper and/or sea salt to taste.
Serve the homemade pork schnitzel with the cauliflower, bell pepper, and potatoes. Garnish with lemon wedges and parsley to taste for a fresh flavor.
