Bao buns with pulled chicken and smoky BBQ sauce
Soft bao buns filled with juicy pulled chicken, marinated in a flavorful smoky BBQ sauce. Add fresh cucumber and crunchy carrots, and your bun is complete. A delicious street food classic!
Bereidingswijze
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Peel the carrots and slice them lengthwise into thin 8cm strips, along with the cucumber. Marinate the cucumber with the sushi vinegar and half the sesame seeds.
Spread the olive oil over the chicken fillet and place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper in the oven for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the bao buns in the steamer basket according to the package directions.
Let the chicken cool for 10 minutes after removing it from the oven, then shred it with two forks. Marinate the pulled chicken with the tomato frito and half of the Verstegen Guilt Free – Smokey BBQ sauce.
Divide the lamb's lettuce, pulled chicken, cucumber, and carrots among the bao buns. Garnish the bao buns with the remaining sesame seeds and serve with the remaining Verstegen Guilt Free – Smokey BBQ sauce.
