Puff pastry sticks with pesto and sesame seeds
These delicious puff pastry sticks are perfect for serving with drinks.
Do you love pesto too? This red pesto is made with cashews instead of pine nuts. Cashews are easy to use and provide a delicious creamy flavor. A delicious addition to these puff pastry sticks, perfect for serving with drinks!
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 200ºC and defrost the puff pastry.
Peel the garlic and mix in a food processor with the sun-dried tomatoes, basil, cashew nuts, olive oil and sea salt until a smooth pesto is formed.
Spread one sheet of puff pastry with the pesto and place another sheet of puff pastry on top. Cut into 5 equal 2.5 cm strips and twist each piece several times to create a twister.
Beat the egg and brush the twisters with it. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the puff pastry. Place the twisters on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place in the oven. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove the twisters from the oven and let them cool.

- 30 g verse basilicum
- 65 g cashewnoten, ongezouten
- 4 el extra vierge olijfolie
- 1 tl Zeezout
- 1 ei
- 1 el Sesamzaad
