Grilled apricot with 5-spice crumble and caramelized pecans. Craving a delicious dessert that's not too sweet? Then this is the perfect dish. The sweetness of the grilled apricot and caramelized pecans pairs beautifully with the spicy flavor of the 5-spice crumble and creamy mascarpone. Serve with a little extra agave syrup, and you've got a heavenly dessert to serve.
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Mix 50g of cold butter with the flour, almond meal, World Spice Blend - 5 Spices, and 40ml agave syrup until crumbly. Spread the crumble mixture on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
Coarsely chop the pecans. In a pan, heat the remaining butter with the coconut blossom sugar and remaining agave syrup until it begins to bubble. Add the pecans and stir well. Place the pecans on a baking sheet and let cool.
Halve the apricots and remove the pits. Heat the oil in a grill pan and grill the apricots for 5 minutes, or until grill marks appear.
Divide the mascarpone among plates, top with 3 apricots, and arrange the crumble and caramelized nuts next to the mascarpone on the plate. Garnish with mint.
