Taste as a starting point

When developing the Pure label, taste has always been Verstegen's guiding principle. How can products be made even purer without compromising on taste? The Pure label was the answer:

– No declarable allergens: common allergies include reactions to milk, egg, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, or sesame seeds.

MSG-free: MSG (monosodium glutamate) is perhaps the most well-known flavor enhancer. Higher intake can cause a hypersensitivity reaction in a sensitive group of people.

PURE as standard in the professional kitchen

The Pure label responds to food professionals' need for clarity and ease of use. The recipes in the Pure line are formulated without the 14 declared allergens and are free of MSG. This way, Verstegen helps food professionals create menus with the most delicious flavors, using pure ingredients without compromising on taste. And the herb specialist demonstrates that responsible and delicious go hand in hand.

The recipes from the Pure line are composed without the 14 declarable allergens and are free from MSG

Note:
Contrary to previously mentioned communication regarding the Pure logo, "minimal salt use" has been removed from the claim. By omitting the salt aspect, the Pure label focuses solely on allergen-free and MSG-free. This makes it clear to all our professional customers which products do not contain allergens or MSG.
