Red shakshuka with tomato and bell pepper
Red shakshuka in a single-person pan.
A spicy tomato sauce forms the base of this shakshuka, in which the eggs are gently cooked with World Spice Meal – Shakshuka.
Preparation
Cut the pepper into pieces.
Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat and cook the pepper for a few minutes until it starts to soften.
Add the diced tomatoes and let the sauce simmer gently for a few minutes.
Add World Spice Meal – Shakshuka and stir well so that the sauce is evenly seasoned.
Make two wells in the sauce and crack the eggs into them. Cover the pan and let the eggs simmer over low heat until the whites are cooked through and the yolks are still runny.
Serve immediately and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Delicious with flatbread.
