Vanilla pudding bread with hazelnut
A delicious pudding loaf made with brioche bread, soaked in the warm aromas of vanilla and topped with crunchy hazelnuts, crisp apples, and milk chocolate. Sounds delicious, right?
Looking for a treat? Choose pudding bread! It's a bit like French toast, but on a larger scale and baked right out of the oven. It's easy to make and delicious as a dessert. In this recipe, we choose brioche bread, which we soak in the warm aromas of vanilla and top with crunchy hazelnuts, crisp apples, and milk chocolate. Sounds delicious, right?
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Slice the brioche bread and halve it. Roughly chop the milk chocolate. Cut two-thirds of the apples into 1 cm cubes. Cut the remaining apple into half-moons.
Halve the vanilla and scrape out the seeds. Heat a pan of milk and stir in the seeds and vanilla. Let this steep for 5 minutes over low heat, then remove the vanilla from the milk.
Mix the vanilla milk, eggs, sugar, milk chocolate, hazelnuts and apple cubes with the brioche bread and spread this over a baking tin.
Place the apple slices on top of the pudding bread and place in the oven for 15 minutes.
Remove the pudding bread from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Variatietip
Heb je een notenallergie? Vervang de hazelnoten door rozijnen. Laat deze eerst 10 minuten weken in lauwwarm water.
