A delicious apple-cinnamon galette with cardamom
A delicious apple and cinnamon galette with cardamom and raisins. Delicious as a dessert with a scoop of ice cream or as a sweet treat.
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). In a food processor, process the flour, granulated sugar, and unsalted butter until crumbly. Add the cold water and, if using, the apple cider vinegar, and process until a dough ball forms. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 2 to 3 hours.
Peel the apples, remove the cores, and thinly slice them. Mix the apple pieces with the raisins, cinnamon, cardamom, and lemon juice in a bowl.
Dust the work surface with flour. Roll out the dough into a large circle, about 0.5 cm thick. Then place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Spread the apple-cinnamon-cardamom mixture over the center of the dough and fold the edges slightly over the filling. Beat the egg, brush the edges with it, and sprinkle with the light brown caster sugar.
Bake the apple-cinnamon galette in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from the oven after baking and let it cool on a wire rack before serving.
Variatietip
Probeer ook eens andere toppings zoals rood zomerfruit of rabarber. Een galette kun je ook hartig serveren met bijvoorbeeld paddenstoelen, paprika en gehakt.

- rozijnen, naar smaak
- 50 g lichtbruine basterdsuiker
- 1 el citroensap
- 1 ei
- 2 el Kaneel (gemalen)
- 1 el Kardemom (gemalen)
- Zeezout, naar smaak
- Ingrediënten voor het deeg:
- 250 g bloem
- 100 g ongezouten roomboter, op kamertemperatuur
- 50 g fijne kristalsuiker
- 50 ml koud water
- 2 el appelazijn (optioneel)
- bloem, voor bestuiven werkblad
