Chop Bonne Femme
Chops a la Bonne Femme with potatoes, carrots and peas.
Bonne Femme Pork Chops is a complete oven dish from classic French cuisine. Bonne Femme combines vegetables and potatoes with a piece of meat.
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F). Roughly chop the onions and finely chop the garlic. Quarter the chestnut mushrooms.
Season the chops with the sachet of 100% Natural Chop Mix. Heat the butter in a frying pan and brown the chops on each side for about 1 minute. Deglaze with the white wine. Place the chops in a baking dish and pour in the wine. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes, or until cooked through.
Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a wok and fry the bacon. Add the onion and garlic and sauté briefly. Add the baby potatoes, peas, carrots, and mushrooms. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes over high heat. Add the thyme at the last minute.
Serve the chops with the Bonne Femme, in the classic French way.
