Spicy brownies with satay sauce
Delicious spicy brownies with a twist.
You can make these delicious spicy brownies with the last bit of satay sauce left over from a barbecue. Why not make these spicy brownies for a birthday? This recipe makes about 12 pieces of this guilty pleasure.
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking pan with baking paper.
Chop the chocolate and cut the butter into cubes. Combine in a bowl and melt over a pan of hot water (in a bain-marie), stirring constantly.
Beat the eggs with the granulated sugar and light brown caster sugar until light and fluffy. Gently fold in the flour, baking powder, salt, and chili powder. Cut the vanilla pod in half lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Add this to the batter. Then stir in the melted chocolate and butter until the batter is smooth.
Heat the satay sauce (ready-made) according to the package directions and stir well into the brownie batter. Pour the brownie batter into the baking pan.
Bake the brownie for 40 to 45 minutes and let it cool completely. Then cut the brownie into 12-16 pieces.
Whip the cream until fluffy and serve with the brownies.
