Nigella seeds are black, dried seeds shaped like a triangle. They taste like a combination of oregano and thyme. The flavor is also nutty, which can be enhanced by briefly toasting them. They're delicious in chutneys and vegetable dishes, and can be used on baked bread or naan bread.
