Ground ginger is often found in soups, with meat, in meatballs and sausages, in various curries, but also in cookies!

Try these delicious ginger cookies. Ginger has a spicy, pungent flavor. The strength varies depending on the shape. For this recipe, you only need 1 tablespoon of ground ginger.

Preparation

Beat the butter with the sugar until fluffy. Add 1 egg, followed by the baking soda, flour, and ground ginger. Mix well, wrap the dough in plastic wrap, and let it rest in the refrigerator for an hour.

Preheat the oven to 175°C.

Roll out the dough on a floured work surface to about 0.5 cm thick. Cut out cookie shapes with a cookie cutter. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Beat the second egg and brush the cookies with it. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and rock candy and press gently.

Bake the cookies in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
