Shakshuka dip with minced chicken and tomato
Shakshuka only suitable for dinner? No way, this shakshuka dip proves it! The ground chicken is cooked in a spicy tomato base and topped with creamy cottage cheese for a refreshing contrast. Serve with Lebanese flatbread to dip in the shakshuka dip, and you've got an irresistible side dish.
Preparation
Peel and finely chop the onion. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Heat the olive oil in a skillet and sauté the ground chicken with the onion, garlic, and Verstegen World Spice Meal - Shakshuka until translucent.
Squeeze the juice from the lemon and add it to the pan along with the tomato paste and diced tomatoes. Simmer gently for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the Lebanese flatbread according to the instructions on the package.
Divide the shakshuka among a large bowl, followed by the cottage cheese. Serve. Serve the shakshuka dip with the flatbread.
