Trifle with star anise

Preparation
Peel the pears and add them to a large saucepan with the red wine, brown sugar, star anise, and cinnamon. Heat over medium heat and simmer gently for 2 to 3 hours.
Beat the mascarpone together with the whipped cream and sugar until a thick and smooth mixture is formed.
Finely grind the cantuccini in a food processor. Larger chunks are okay, so don't over-process.
Slice the stewing pears. Layer them in glasses. Start with a layer of mascarpone cream, sprinkle with cantuccini crumble, and arrange some stewing pears over this layer. Repeat with another layer of mascarpone, cantuccini crumble, and garnish with blackberries, red currants, and stewing pears.
