Verstegen Cloves consists of whole, dried flower buds from the clove tree from Indonesia and India, with a strong, aromatic scent and a spicy, warm taste. Because the cloves remain whole, they retain their aroma longer than ground cloves.

Applications of Verstegen Cloves

Home cooks and chefs use Verstegen Cloves for, among other things:

• Meat dishes: stick a few cloves in an onion for a stew or gravy
• Sweet dishes: flavor applesauce, cookies or pastries with a spicy touch
• Hot drinks: infuse in mulled wine or chai tea for extra aroma

Remove the whole cloves from the dish after cooking, so you don't accidentally bite into a clove.
