Farmers' gingerbread

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
Grease the cake tin or line it with a sheet of baking paper.
Cream the butter, sugar and pinch of salt together for about 5 minutes using a food processor or hand mixer.
Add the eggs one by one.
Mix in the self-raising flour and apple syrup until smooth. Also add the ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cardamom, ground mace, ground cloves, ground coriander seed, and nutmeg and mix this into the batter.
Divide the batter over the baking tin and bake the gingerbread for about 55-65 minutes until golden brown (both above and below heat).
Then let the gingerbread cool and cut it into slices.
Tip
Je kunt eenvoudig controleren of de cake gaar is door er met een satéprikker in te steken. Komt deze er schoon uit? Dan is je cake gaar. Is de prikker niet schoon? Dan verleng je de baktijd met 5-10 minuten en probeer je het daarna weer opnieuw.
